About the Candidate

Tulsi Gabbard serves in the House of Representatives for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district. She was elected in 2012, becoming the first Samoan-American and first Hindu member of Congress, and is also part of a bipartisan group of CrossFit enthusiasts. She became the youngest woman elected to a state legislature at age 21 and served in Iraq for the Hawaii Army National Guard from 2004 to 2005. Learn more about Tulsi below:

  • What is the first piece of legislation you want to sign into law, and how will you get it through a GOP-led Senate if Democrats aren’t in charge?

    Gabbard has stated that "on day one of my presidency, I will call a summit between the United States, China, and Russia to work to end the new Cold War, stop the arms race and reduce tensions and increase cooperation."

  • If elected, what is the first executive action you’ll take?

    Would take executive actions to help legalize Dreamers.

    No statement yet but we feel like being an OG member of the Congressional Crossfit Caucus should be up there.

  • What job would you do if you weren’t a politician?

    Before becoing a politician, Gabbard was a martial arts instructor and a member of the Hawaii Army National Guard.
